I was using GTE as my internet service provider. GTE sent me a note, "Effective Sept 1 1998 online hours are limited to 100 hours per month... Any online usage beyond 100 hours will be billed at the rate of $1.00 per hour..."
Something to that effect.

In the same letter was a notice - you used 308 hours during the month of August.   Well, looked like August was an average month for me so this meant that I would be paying $20 for the 100 normal hours then just an additional $1 per hour for a total of $228...per month !

Seems like several of the major ISP's were going to the maximum hours plan. Some were 200 hours, most were 100 hours.
  Standard rates for most major ISP's = $20 per month.

Decided to try something different.   Had To ! $200 plus per month, No Way !
Internet Junction was recommended by my brothers coworkers - several computer techs here.   He's in charge of the technicians that maintain some 2000 plus PC's . - figured they wouldn't steer his brother,(me), wrong. Heck, $10 per month seemed a bit cheesy too.

They didn't, been using Internet Junction since Sept 1998 - $10 per month, WoW ! Internet Junction uses the same internet lines that GTE does - uu.nets lines. Modems are great - I get the same 52k connections as I did with GTE.   I can get the same connection with K56Flex or the newer V.90 as well as X2 53,333 connections when my modem decided to start failing (lightning damage, I think).

Reason I've written this page ?
Simple - Internet Junction gives me two free weeks access for every new customer I send their way.   I'm fairly successful with getting pages listed with the search engines.   Hopefully you'll try Internet Junction & tell them I recommended that you call them. "Michael Plemmons - sekim@ij.net"
